Who are you voting for?
Do you all celebrate Halloween?
What kind of different ideas do you have to turn the devils holiday around and use it for the Glory of Almighty God?
What kind of Christian, Biblical, or Theological discussions would you like to have?
Columbine High School in Jefferson County Colorado on April 20, 1999, Virginia Tech Massacre, in Virginia on April 16, 2007, and now Success Tech Academy in Cleveland Ohio on Oct 10, 2007. These are just a couple of the most recent massacres that have taken place in our public schools. We are all too familiar with the scenes on television, but what can be done to stop these horrifying events from taking place?
A New School Poem Ginna Nolan
Now I sit me down in school, Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God, Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow, Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green, that’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall, Might offend someone with no faith at all
In silence alone we must meditate, God’s name is prohibited by the state.
We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King. It’s “inappropriate” to teach right from wrong, We’re taught that such “judgments” do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd.
It’s scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school’s a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen
If you aren’t ashamed to do this, please pass this on. Jesus said, ” If you are ashamed of me,” I will be ashamed of you before my Father.” Not ashamed. Passing this on
Please continue to pray for me. I have been to the doctor twice, and I am contimplating going a third time. I had one round of antibiotics, cough syrup with codine, Zycam, Advair, Albuterol, Breathing Treatments, and I have used and ate every cough syrup and cough drop in the house! I think that it is Whooping cough, anyhow it has been on the news that it is going around and that it can last for up to two months or longer. I have been coughing and choking to death for almost four weeks now. Thank you for your prayers, God bless you all. -Derek-
The Circleville Pumkin Festival starts on Wednsday of this week and I think that my wife and I are going to go. I have never been there before but we hear that it is quite the fun thing to do this time of year. (If you like pumpkins that is.)
Have any of you ever been before or plan on going this year?
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. Deuteronomy 11:26-28
If we obey the commands of the Lord we will be blessed. That means that we will have plenty. God will send rain, he will bless us with crops, and fat cattle, and health and prosperity.
But, if we disobey the commands of the Lord we will be cursed. We will have famine in the land, our cattle will starve, and crops will fail. Our rivers and streams will dry up, and we will be hungry, and thirsty and poor and sick.
I see this as simple. Black and white. That however is how most things are with me, is that not really how it is with God?
It seems to me that we are witnessing around the world a great falling away. The churches are full, but the people that go to these institutions a lot of times are hypocrites. They acknowledge God with their mouths but their hearts are far from him. I know that I sound cynical, and maybe I am but I have not experienced what I know is possible, in my life, someone elses, or in a church. Everyone that I know that has been in any kind of leadership in a church has fallen (into sin). Most of the people that I know have fallen in to sin, or never gave it up in the first place. It is like an epidemic or a cancer that just keeps spreading. I want to see real revival, I want to see people saved, healed, delivered, and changed. I want the presence of God more than anything.
Are we living in the last days?
Are we witnessing the great falling away?
What can we do to bring about real revival?
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. I Corinthians 12:12-26
If we are all a part of the same body, why do we sometimes look down on other brothers and sisters in Christ because of our beliefs, or our denomination, or for any reason?
How can we change, in order to bring unity?
I seriously want to know what Tithing is like in modern day Judaism. If anyone knows please tell me. I am looking for the Biblical context of it.
