The heart of God for today
My heart aches today, I feel a deep pain, and anguish in my spirit. I hear the Lord say “Why do you say that you love me with your lips, yet your heart is far from me?” So many self proclaimed Christians today have one foot in the world, and one foot in heaven. In Revelation 3:15-16 The Lord says “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were either cold or hot, but because thou art neither cold nor hot I will spew you out of my mouth!” They have a Bible, but it sits on the shelf collecting dust. They claim to know God, but they never read his word, they never talk to him. They never sit down with him for five minutes to find out what he likes or what he doesn’t like. They don’t take the time to ask him what he wants them to do for the day. God’s word says that the steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord and even though the Bible says “Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together.” in Hebrews 10:25 many Christians do not take the time to go to church. They do not take the time to worship him. Even though most of them are blessed with a house, and a car, clothes on their back, and food on their table they do not take the time to thank him. Maybe it is because they do not want to be accountable to other Christians because of sin in their life, maybe it is because they think they are just too busy maybe they think that they have all that they need and they don’t really need God. Maybe it is because they are ashamed of Jesus Christ. Jesus said if you are ashamed of him, he will be ashamed of you Mark 8:38. Many Christians do not tithe, even though Malachi 3:10 say “Prove me now herewith (By the tithe) saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive it.” Many Christians spew vile hatred toward their neighbors, and the only things that come from their mouth is foul, dirty, filthy obscenities. Jesus said in Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed forth from your mouth, except that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” and “Let your words be seasoned with salt that ye may know how to answer every man.” Colossians 4:6. James 3:6 also said “the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature, and is set on the fire of hell.” Many still drink alchohal, and even get drunk just as they did when they were living in the world, some continue to smoke, some continue to watch pornography, some still rob, and cheat, and steal but I am here to tell you today that God is sick of it! It breaks his heart that he was beat, and bruised to the point of agony on a cross, his blood gushed from his veins as he cried out Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Yet you still do what you do. Will you accept his sacrifice today? Instead of making it of none effect? Instead of being a hypocrite? Start treating your body like it is a chosen vessel, a Holy Tabernacle. A dwelling place for the Holy Spirit and the most high God, because it is. Start living like a light in a dark and dying world, because you are. Choose this day whom you will serve. Serve God, or serve Satan. Repent, turn away from your sin, be Born Again, be set free, go thy way and sin no more.
