Has the Abomination of Desolation been fullfilled?

“Because they cannot accept that the Lord returned in AD 70, they say this event has not yet happen” What????? This guy is confused. His references and the use of the Apocrypha aide in his seriously wrong conclusions. Read The book of Daniel in it’s entirety. The way this dude propagates his stand reminds of the Jehovah’s’ Witnesses. I am not saying anything negative toward you, it is just an insane interpretation of the Word of God. I don’t have the time right now to write ALL the scriptures with explanations, but I will make an attempt on my blog in the near future. For now, listen to this audio clip.

“His kingdom is here now, it came in AD 70, it is a spiritual kingdom, not a physical fleshly kingdom, and it did not come with observation.”
That is totally wrong.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
That was before Christ’s death, he was already establishing a spiritual Kingdom.
One day though He will establish a physical kingdom, and very soon.
The abomination and desolation is fulfilled, even the Mosque of Omar on the temple site is an abomination and one day it will be destroyed and Jews will erect a temple. That is after rapture event.
Was 70 AD important to prophecy? Yes but not all as this author is claiming. Some of the Book of Revelations has been fulfilled and some is taking place now and some will be.
Days of Lot (homosexuals, perversion, and such) and Days of Noah are upon us now. Days of Daniel “knowledge shall increase” is here. Israel is back in her homeland (that is prophecy fulfilling).
So we are at the Last days of this Physical world and new Kingdom will be established.
:nono: This theology is not new. This is history that is largely unknown to most evangelical Christians! Jesus, open our eyes that we might see your truth!
Please Lord, that we may all be ready for your coming! That is really the point, what is most important, is that we are always ready for his coming, as a blushing :shysmile: bride.
Yes, I read the position and I dogmatically disagree. The Abomination of Desolation that Daniel spoke off will take place midway through the 7 year tribulation.The anti-Christ will cause all temple sacrifices to cease, cause the world to worship him, at which time he will decree to have the Jews killed. This is where they run for the mountains, which is Petra, the city that Esau built. Study the 70 weeks of prophesy that Daniel writes about. It is within the 69th week that The Abomination of Desolation takes place.
In Christ love -Daniel
Sorry, correction, we are in the 69th week. It is the last week of the prophesy, which is the 70th week. One week equals 7 years.
@TheTruthBeKnown - Did you get your info from Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins????
I used to believe that theology because that was what I had always been taught, then I learned about history. I realized like most biblical scholars that we have been handed a tainted pair of glasses and been told how to look through them. Take those glasses off and everything becomes clear. The word rapture is not in the bible, and every place that talks about the second coming of Christ says that he will be heard and seen by all.
@derekwilson24 -
Actually no. I have not read any of there writings. Though we ALL have to rely on others and information that they have gathered. It is the daunting task of knowing which one is right. So, one must study the Bible and have a close walk with the Lord to allow His Holy Spirit to give us discernment. There are many that come in the name of the Lord and many that deceive, some knowingly and some ignorantly. I will attempt to further explain hopefully in the next few days. Have a God-filled day.
@TheTruthBeKnown -
Actually Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins wrote the Left Behind books and movies and while they are entertaining I dont think that they are necissarily factul or biblically sound. I disagree that we have to rely on the research others have done. We just need to learn how to study ourselves and come to our own conclusions based on the context of scripture and its historical and cultural context.
@TheTruthBeKnown - :yes: and I also agree that we have to trust the Holy Spirit for discernment and guidance.
Just to be clear… are you stating that: Christ as already returned in A.D.70? Are you saying we need not to look for His coming back to get His Bride(the church)? I guess I am not certain what it is exactly you believe. Would you sum it up, so I can more accurately respond? Thanks or your efforts.
@TheTruthBeKnown - are you stating that: Christ as already returned in A.D.70?
Derek- No. Not at all.
TheTruthBeKnown- Are you saying we need not to look for His coming back to get His Bride(the church)?
Derek- No. I believe that Mattew 24 is very clear that we need to be ready at all times no matter what.
What I believe that is different, is that the prophecy of the Abomination of Desolation has already been fulfilled by the Romans in 70 A.D. and that there will not be a secret rapture like in Left Behind. I do believe in the Second Coming of Christ but no one knows the day or the time I think most probable (Post Trib), and when he does come he will be heard and seen by everyone. Do you understand what I believe now?
