Please join me in Fasting and Praying from the 29th of October to Election Day on November 4th 2008. Our nation is in an election of historic proportions and our Freedom, Liberty and Lives are in the balance. Please pray that God will appoint Godly men and women to House of Representatives, Congress, the Senate and the Presidency. Please pray that God would have his way in this election, and pray for revival.
Remember II Chronicles 7:14 says “If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear their prayers, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

One way or another this a major event.
Hello Mr. Wilson,
You made your site simple yet elegant. I see that you believe that God will appoint Godly men to their office. Actually, He has every intention of destroying them soon: 44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (Daniel 2:44) (NIV)
@AFinalWarning - I believe that God puts up, and God casts down. I believe that we as Christians have a Moral duty to vote for Godly men and women in our government and to pray for the current state of our nation. II Chronicles 7:14 is a promise and if we do what it says God promises to forgive our sin, and heal our land. I believe that this includes righteous and holy government and revival. Here is my scripural references.
Proverbs 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Hebrews 13:17-21 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
Hello again Mr. Wilson,
You are correct that we have an obligation to follow the laws that governments establish (unless they oppose God’s laws) but we do not have to choose who rules us. Here is why: they are not Godly men and women. Who do they really belong to? 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. (Matthew 4:8-10) (NIV)
From this passage, we see that Christ did not dispute Satan’s claim to own the kingdoms and he did not accept Satan’s bribe. To this day, the kingdoms of the world belong to the devil and I think it shows. I cite, for example, such obviously ungodly personages such as Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini, Emperor Hirohito, just about any king of England such as Henry VIII. And for an ungodly US president look no further than Bill Clinton. For absolute proof that no government leader is Godly just see what oath they take for office. Oath for office does not call for upholding God’s laws, it calls for upholding man’s laws – such as the Presidential oath of office: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Lastly, God will only protect Godly people from harm when this world ends. “The world and all its desires will pass away. But the man who obeys God and does what He wants done will live forever.” (1John 2:17) (NLV)
God has also promised that at that time He will destroy all of the governments without any hesitation. 5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. 6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. (psalms 110:5-6) (NIV)
So we have a simple choice to make now: choose another human leader (as always, the lesser of two evils) or ignore the proceedings and wait for Jehovah to fulfill His last prophecies. Time is running out…
