They say that The Matthew Shepard Bill was created to cut down on violent crime against minorities and ethnic groups such as Gays and Lesbians. I don’t buy that. Obama wants to pass the Matthew Shepard Hate Crime Bill and force all of us Christians to shut up. Like they did in Canada. I am not for that. At all. Are you? If they do we will not be able to speak out freely anymore to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, then we will be the ones going to jail and being beaten. Are you ready for persecution in the US? If this bill passes, it will come. If we vote for Obama it will pass.

:nono: You cant preech out against SIN in public anymore in Canada due to Hate Crime Legislation. I fear that is what might happen here if we dont do something about it. Call or write your local polititians and tell them you are against the Matthew Shepard Bill.

If you arent already being persecuted its because you are not doing what Jesus has commanded. There is a difference in being a believer and a Disciple.
@letseewhatthiswilldo - I agree. I meant persecuted by the state, or government in the USA. It has been coming slowly but surely for a long time now.
I am persecuted severely in many ways that others or not for sharing the Gospel and refuting false teachings. I have lost friends, family and jobs because of it, and have had a lot of wicked things done to me. Christians are being persecuted by the Govt already and have for a long time, its just hidden. When you aren’t doing what your suppose to you never see it. There is nothing new in the govt coming that hasnt been around…you just havent seen it yet. It is in the schools and churches a lot more than people realize, like I said, if you were doing what Jesus wanted to in your own culture you could have noticed it a hundred years ago. This is about me being better or anything, I just live my faith, and its hard to accept that Jesus didnt just want us sitting around singing songs to each about how great he is when in your own city there are probably several people that most likely will never be shown love, grace, and mercy while being told the Gospel and given a real place to turn to that does not use pagan psychology but the Word of God instead…and the irony is that if you live in a medium to large sized city there will be several churches that “need” money for overseas missions, etc.
Best way to find out whats really going on is to buy some Bible tracts (you can get 25 of them for less than 3 dollars) and then start talking to people about Jesus. This is when you start seeing what people really believe.

@letseewhatthiswilldo - When I went to school, the only persecution I had was kids making fun of me. I used to read my Bible in school, and pray over my lunch. I never got in trouble or anything.
I used to have bible study at work with some of my freinds and anyone that wanted to come. It was great, God was moving and we really never got in trouble or anything, management for the most part let us. They even let us all pray around the flagpole on the National Day of Prayer. I passed out Bibles and Tracts on my breaks and lunch too, and sometimes before and after work.
One time I passed out Bibles downtown Marysville, and some girls laughed at me but that was it. Another time as I was passing out Bibles outside of the local bar, the owner came out and told me he was going to call the cops because he said I was on his property and disrupting his buisiness. I found out that if you have a peddlers liscence that you are more than welcome to pass out free stuff on public property, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. You just have to know the law, and those in charge and God will give you favor. Like I said, I have never really experienced and State, or Government persecution so far.
I like Chick tracts. I pass them out at Halloween.
@letseewhatthiswilldo - I hate that they only teach The Theory of Evolution in most schools and not Creation. I mean they have more proof for Creation than they do evolution. I always used to write what I believed on my papers along with the book answer especially if it was a report or something we had to read in front of the class. Those were the best.
I am so glad to read this that you are doing this, and I hope you continue. I do the same things. Somethings I also do are preach in detail against false teachings, and wicca and that has also brought me a lot of trouble, but it has also meant people have been saved. Also, I am aware that while all of the world is the world, some areas are much worse than others for brazen wickedness rather than just underhanded and passive wickedness against Christians. I have also noticed that most of the persecution and attack against Christians is unknown to them, while their lives are kept weak, but yours sounds great and very encouraging to me, thank you for sharing

In regards to the public school system, it is being staffed by wiccans, regardless of what they say, the teachers are pagans, ALL of them. There are people with occultic abilities that will not admit to themselves that they are pagans because they are biblically educated,but they are pagans nonetheless and whether directly or indirectly, they are promoting a larger pagan agenda then they might be aware of. The public school is no place for any children, and the children of Christians are not safe there at all.
When I talk to Christian parents I encourage them to prayerfully seek a way to remove their children from public schooling, I am definitely convinced that the Spiritual welfare of our children needs sheltering, others will disagree and thats fine, but the average Christian adult from the public school system is ineffective and dead in their faith, even though they profess otherwise. The variable that this is not true is rare.
A book I suggest you own is “Evidence that demands a verdict, volumes 1 and 2, by Josh McDowell. This is the best book I have ever found about the apologetic questions that you would find helpful in reasoning with atheists, or at least strengthening the faith of others so that the atheist is disarmed of lies.
Also, in terms of protecting children from lies, if you are not able to directly do so, reaching to their parents with Truth increases the likelihood of them having a more Truthful home environment. All we do for Jesus Christ is not in vain, not one bit of it…and the Reward is permanent.
So good job to you, I am glad to have someone be able to tell me they are doing more than waiting for Jesus

No kidding, I just read about the coming persecution on another site. And, I’ve heard that saints overseas are worried about us here, that we are not prepared for the persecution that is ahead. True I think, because most I talk to think Jesus will return before we are persecuted. How fair would that be? Could happen, but….
I feel we need to memorize all the Scripture we can, figure out the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, and get ready to be the most humble, Biblical (esp. in the way we dress!), saved people ever.
My daughters and I used to dress like Bible women, some years ago, in Chicago. We were brusquely questioned by Muslims at every turn…what is your religion? who is your god? what is your holy book? Sometimes we had a whole 30 seconds to give an entire testimony, before they were thru listening.
Others would shake, asking for literature to be sneaked to them. We had to be extremely careful not to endanger the seekers of Yassua (arabic for Yeshua).
So, get ready folks. Clean out your closets. Get super Bible-modesty going on, ladies. We’re gonna need it shortly, I believe. If we must die, shall we die being too American, or die being too saved.
That reminded me…I have gone thru a lot from people, also. I even hesitate to say WHAT lost ones have been on my back…related and unrelated, let’s say. I’ve learned thru hard experience, to place my life in God’s hands, and keep on going, trusting Him. We’ve moved in several drug-infested neighborhoods, and had to be the saved ones on the block. Talk about murderous anger! But all the neighborhoods got cleaned up. Not to say I didn’t see the hit man following me one day. I sure did. In this marriage, my now-estranged hubby tried to mangle God out of my life with perverse sexual attacks, physical and mental attacks…he had used His Name and His Word to get into my life. There are family members who’ve tried to corrupt my offspring from God’s holy, blessed ways, to their negative, destructive ways. Mercy. And called CPS to do their will, which through prayer, did not happen. They wanted the children to have the wicked “freedom” to destroy their own lives with nasty sin. Mercy, Lord. The husband is gone, with an order of protection. The fight goes on in less abusive ways, and my own struggle is not to be carnal in response and to take care of myself well, spiritually and other ways. Sometimes, it’s like a lot to deal with. and people don’t fellowship anymore. it’s so hard, sometimes. But then, if we look up to Yeshua, our Savior, our Jesus in English, oh, can we see His glory, in the midst of trouble!! Praise His Name, He is HOLY,,,thank God almighty.
