  • Halloween!

      Do you all celebrate Halloween?

What kind of different ideas do you have to turn the devils holiday around and use it for the Glory of Almighty God?

  • There was this church in Renoldsburg Ohio, that used to do this thing called Hell Stop. They did it for several years however, they do not do it anymore. Basically they got anti drinking and driving sponsers and had a state highway patrolman talk about the dangers of drinking and driving after watching a graphic video. Then they staged a real accident, that was interactive. You had to climb through a car where you could see the people bleeding and hurt badly. Then an ambulance came up behind us and tried to resusitate the victims. But they died. The next stop on the tour is the grave and you see the mother weeping. Then we went in this tent which simulated Judgement. Jesus was depicted on a screen and when he said this persons name they arose out of a coffin. Then Jesus said “Depart from me into everlasting fire” and demons come and carrie them away. Then you go through this maze that is pitch black which has strings to simulate worms, and screaming sounds all around. Then after you get through the maze you are in Hell. You see Satan sitting on a pile of skulls and a bunch of people in a cage with signs on them like lust, anger, hatred and you have to walk through this lake of fire. Then it is all over. Once again they talked about the effects of drinking and driving. They had a badly wrecked car, and they told the true story about how the driver died from it. Then you go into this tent where they talk about dying, there is a real coffin. They told us that we all have to do it and we are either going to go to heaven or to hell. When you leave there are three doors and you have to choose one of them. One is the Heaven door, for those who know that they are saved. Two, the hell door for those that think that this is a joke and they really dont care, and door number three wich is the question mark door where pastors and counsellors are waiting to answer your questions and tell you how to become a Christian. I thaught that it was awesome, and if you ever get the chance to do something like that, it is great!

  •  I like to pass out Chick Tracts with candy at Halloween. I think that it is a fun way to witness to people and not exactly celebrate it.

I think that it would be fun to have a Halloween Party where everyone dresses up like someone in the Bible. You could have all the normal food, and candy, and games and just put kind of a different spin on it. Instead of Scary and Evil make it fun and uplifting and something that brings glory to God. :)

  • I went to a church party like that once.  All the girls dressed like Jezebel.  (Except my sister who wore a sheep costume and my mom who dressed as Moses.)

I also thought of going as jael with a bloody tent peg, or Ehud……. nevermind!

  • I’m sorry, but you are seriously mistaken on what Samhain actually means. This is a Pagan holiday, yes, but we do not worship the devil, we do not worship evil, we worship the death of the Sun God and the rebirth of new life. Did you know that almost every single holiday, well actually every Catholic and Christian holiday, is based on Pagan holidays? The Catholic church way back in the days couldn’t get everyone to stop worshiping the many gods they had, and so they actually turned the holidays around into their own versions. Christmas is like the Pagan Yule, Halloween like the Pagan Samhain, etc.

I think that maybe you should learn the facts before calling this sacred holiday a Devil’s Holiday. In all actuality, Pagans do not believe in the Devil, we do not believe in evil deeds against other people, and we certainly do not set our Gods on anyone. It’s the three fold rule that holds us in check. Satanistic people may use this holiday for their own rituals, but we worship completely differenty with love, feasts, happiness, and of course rituals telling of the Sun God’s passing, and a hope for a wonderous harvest.

    Blessed Be.

  • Hey guys… I don’t know if you have read what our stance is on this subject…. so here it is.

    Keep it real…keep it Christ!

  • I used to love Halloween & now it is a painful reminder of my past. I was Wiccan for 22 years & I thought I wasn’t doing any harm to anyone because I didn’t believe in the Devil/Satan. I thought Christians made him up to scare people. I was what is termed as a White Witch. I just wanted to help people with my Tarot card readings online & offline. I wanted to help others with casting spells. I did thousands of Tarot readings online & was respected by others of the Wiccan community for the accuracy of my readings. I actually had Groupies & was looked up to. I celebrated Halloween by worshiping other Gods & Goddesses. It hurts my heart just typing this. I now know that their is no such thing as Black, White or Grey Witchcraft. Witchcraft is evil & their are no other Gods/Goddesses. Witchcraft is darkness & let me tell you I was totally in the dark. My life now is a thousand times better with God & I now Glow with is Glory. It wasn’t until I became a Christian that I believed in Satan & I know from my past that he is Real. I also know that after being his friend for 22 years that he is not Happy that I am now a friend of God & other Christians. I am not sure what I will be doing on October 31 this year but what I would like to do is be with other Christians & Pray for those who celebrate the darkness & think their is nothing wrong with it.

  • There is a book called by “The Witch That Switched”  that was written by a dear friend of mine named Irene Park, who has since gone home to be with Jesus.  The book has also been re-titled “All Heaven Rejoices.”  It’s her autobiography & testimony of how Jesus saved her and delivered her from witchcraft.  She also has a pamphlet that tells the truth about Halloween and the demonic day that it is.

Like your blog reads:  Prayer + Repentance = Revival.  We cannot turn sin around; we must turn away from it.  Passing out candy, dressing in costumes (even as biblical characters), re-enacting horror (even if it seems for a good cause) do nothing to change the core evil of Halloween nor it’s meaning or purpose but promote and keep alive this detestable celebration and all that pertains to it.

I do not expect anyone who has been duped by the deceiver to understand what Christians know and state about it.  The long and the short of it is that if you’re not serving & worshipping Jesus Christ, the true and living God, then you are serving the devil and doing evil.  There’s no in-between.  Worshipping, honoring or paying homage to a sun god, any other god or any other thing for that matter is just as wicked & just as bad, in fact is the equivalent of serving & worshipping the devil.  :nono:The same goes for Christians.  You can’t serve God on your terms; you must worship Him in Spirit and in truth according to His holy Word and the standards He has set.

With that said, I share the gospel on that day, as I do any other day.  I will not give out candy or participate in any of the satanic rituals or celebrations.  Candy does nothing to add to the gospel; the gospel needs no additives.

    Be blessed,

    Pam

  • We had over 400 Trick-or-Treaters and they all got truth and candy for their sweet tooth. :giggle:
