Whooping Cough
Please continue to pray for me. I have been to the doctor twice, and I am contimplating going a third time. I had one round of antibiotics, cough syrup with codine, Zycam, Advair, Albuterol, Breathing Treatments, and I have used and ate every cough syrup and cough drop in the house! I think that it is Whooping cough, anyhow it has been on the news that it is going around and that it can last for up to two months or longer. I have been coughing and choking to death for almost four weeks now. Thank you for your prayers, God bless you all. -Derek-

My siblings have had that… my older brother got a really bad one that started to tear his throat, which sucked cause he is a singer/musician. I heard the best thing to do is not speak and drink drink drink (liquids like orange juice and such, not like getting drunk of course.. ha ha). I do hope and pray it gets better.

UPDATE: I did go back to the doctor and they took X-rays of my lungs, and did a nose swab test for whooping cough. Hopefully I will find out what I have. The Doc gave me a second round of antibiotics and some other stuff. Thank you all for praying.
Hi Derek, I am sorry you are that ill. I will add you to my daily prayers. I actually caught whooping cough about 4 years ago. I amost died 3 times. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks, and no one believed that I would walk out. It really messed me up. I have a hynal hernia (spelling), swollowing disorder–food gets trapped in my throat–etc. A very old doctor finally figured out what I had. It was a varient of the whooping cough. I coughed horribly. The nurses had to save my life 3 or more times. They had to pound my back, and give me special breathing help. I had to learn to swallow again. This is not joke Derek. I hope it is not that. You will be in my prayers.

What happened with the tests the doctor gave you? Right now where I live their is a Nasty flu going around. I pray that you are feeling better. Please let us all know.
Hope you are feeling better!! Alot of people lately have been really sick for weeks and weeks on end. I’ll keep praying for God’s healing hand on you!
The test came back negative for whooping cough, and the X-rays showed no sign of pnumonia. I guess it was just a nasty bug. Anyways, I am doing much better now thank you all for praying. :coolman:
