She is feeling good and as far as we can tell, the infection is gone and she is healing up nicely. Thank you Jesus!

  • Throw your religion in the trash!

Jesus said this to the Religious people of his day: (Matthew 23:23-33) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

    1. We can have a form of Godliness and deny the power thereof. (II Timothy 3:1-5) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come, For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

    2. You can give Tithes and Offerings, and still live a life of Sin and hypocrisy.

    3. You can appear on the outside to be Righteous, and Holy, and Perfect but inside be a dirty, rotten, good for nothing, scoundrel!

    4. You can go to church, give to the widow, and the orphan, and the poor and do many Charitable things and omit the weightier matters of the Law.

    5. If we don’t throw our religion in the trash, this is what will happen. (Matthew 25:31-46) When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

  • Spiritual Warfare

We are in a Battle! We are on a Battlefield everyday, whether we realize it or not and the Devil wants to take each and every one of us out. Saved or Unsaved. What we need to realize is that once we become a Christian, the Battle is just beginning. We have to decide everyday that we are going to fight. We have to do like the Apostle Paul said and Take up our cross daily, and fallow Jesus. This means to crucify the flesh, our wants, our desires, and to lay it all down at his feet and say “What next Lord?”.

(Ephesians 6:10-20) Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the Power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

We have got to keep our guard up, and not just that, but to be on the offensive attacking the Devil. These are the ways to do it:

    1. Stay in the truth, read the Bible daily, study to show yourself approved.

    2. Walk in Love, Righteousness, and Holiness avoid SIN at all costs.

    3. Fallow after Peace.

    4. Walk in Faith.

    5. Guard your salvation.

    6. Pray constantly in the Spirit. Intercede with burden, and patience, and perseverance for others. Whether you have a gift of tongues or not, pray always.

    7. Pray that God would give you boldness to tell others about Jesus Christ.

  • The Bible is Literally Literal

I just wanted to say further, that Literalism in my definition is basically taking the Bible for what it says at face value, nothing more nothing less. Yes, I believe in a literal “Six Day Creation”; Yes, I believe that the Genesis account is Factual and Historical and is not a storybook, and that the entire Bible was written by Holy Men as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit, and that the New and Old Testaments are good for teaching, doctrine, reproof and correction. I know that Psalms are actually Songs, and that they are poetic in nature however, there are literal truths that can be taken from the poetic scriptures and applied to our daily lives. I also understand that Jesus himself spoke in parables, and sometimes used metaphors when he taught, but this does not mean that there isn’t a literal truth somewhere inside the text. Here is an example that I like to use. Jesus said that if your eye offends you to pluck it out, or if your hand offends you to cut it off. Many people believe that this was not meant to be taken literally, however even though I have never done it, I agree with Jesus that it would be better to enter heaven blind or maimed than to spend an eternity in a literal Hell.

  • The infallibility of the Holy Scriptures

In some of my discussions online, I have found it to be quite disturbing in how many people actually believe that the Holy Bible is a storybook, that it is not infallible, that it is not literal, and that it is not historical, when in fact it really, actually is.

”1. The Bible is Inspired by God  (II Timothy 15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

    2. The Bible is made up of 66 different books that were written over 1600 years (from approximately 1500BC to 100AD) by more than 40 kings, prophets, leaders, and followers of Jesus. The Old Testament has 39 books (written approximately 1500-400BC). The New Testament has 27 books, (written approximately AD 45-100). The Hebrew Bible has the same text as the English Bible’s Old testament, but divides and arranges it differently.

    3. The Old Testament was written mainly in Hebrew, with some Aramaic. The New Testament was written in Greek.

    4.  The books of the Bible were collected and arranged and recognized as inspired sacred authority by councils of Rabbis and councils of church leaders based on careful guidance.

    5.  Before the Printing Press was invented, the Bible was copied by hand. The Bible was copied very accurately, in many cases by special scribes who developed intricate methods of counting words and letters to insure that no errors had been made.

    6.  The Bible was the first book ever printed on the printing press with moveable type. (Gutenberg Press, 1455, Latin Bible).

    7.  There is much evidence that the Bible we have today is remarkably true to the original writings. Of the thousands of copies made by hand before AD 1500, more than 5,300 Greek manuscripts from the New Testament alone still exist today. The text of the Bible is better preserved than the writings of Caesar, Plato, or Aristotle.

    8. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls confirmed the astonishing reliability of some of the copies of the Old Testament made over the years. Although some spelling variations exist, no variation affects the basic Bible Doctrine.

    9. As the Bible was carried to other countries, it was translated into the common language of the people by scholars who wanted others to know God’s Word. Today there are still 2,000 groups with no Bible in their own language.

    10.  By AD 200, the Bible was translated into seven languages; by AD 500, 13 languages; by AD 900, 17 languages; by 1400, 28 languages; by 1800, 57 languages; by 1900, 537 languages; by 1980, 1,100 languages. • Spiritual Gifts

    What are Spiritual Gifts?

Spiritual Gift n. - A gift imparted from God to every believer when he or she is born or is baptized in the Holy Spirit. I think some people such as fortune tellers, psycics, and the like are people that have a gift, but they are not using it for the Glory of God. Spiritual Gifts are also not to be confused with natural gifts, or talents. Such as the ability to play an instrument, or being able to garden. They are given to every person, for the edification, or teaching, instructing, and rebuking the children in the Body of Christ. There are nine gifts.

     Spiritual Gifts   -   I Corinthians 12

    1. Word of Wisdom – Wise Words

    2. Word of Knowledge – Spiritual Knowledge, When something that was hidden is revealed.

    3. Faith – The Gift of Faith is different than regular Faith, it is the ability to believe in the power of God to do the miraculous. I believe that signs, wonders, and healings often fallow someone that has this gift.

    4. Healing – The power to pray for people to be healed.

    5. Miracles – The power to do the miraculous.

    6. Prophecy – The ability to tell the future, sometimes involves blessing someone but usually involves rebuking someone.

    7. Discerning of Spirits – Being able to tell what is right and wrong, good or evil, being able to tell spiritually what is going on behind the scenes, in the realm of angels and demons.

    8. Speaking in Tongues – A heavenly language. The ability to speak in a known or unknown tongue. There are three types of tongues.

-1. Tongues that are for a sign to them that believe not, that they might be saved.

-2. Divers kinds of tongues which are the known languages of the world, spoken by men.

-3. Heavenly Tongues, or the tongues of angels which sometimes cannot be uttered. A prayer language between you and God. An intercessory tongue, used in spiritual warfare.

    9. Interpretation of Tongues – The ability to interpret the tongues which are being spoken for the knowledge of the Church.
